What a wonderful way to experience Literature in a multi-age classroom. A story that weaves in kindness and safety, to highlight our school values, with a lovely array of characters.
Mornings are for exploring literature, developing phonics knolwedge, talking to others about learning and sharing our growing knowledge.
On this particular morning, we listened to The Library Lion by Michelle Knudsen. The mulit-age classroom of Foundation to Year 2 students predicted, summarised, analysed and responded to the text with varying entry levels. Younger students started with their picture while they constructed a sentence orally, and older students used a writing prompt to describe which job they thought the lion was best at helping with.
